An exhibition of works by three female photographers with homes in Litchfield County is being shown at the Washington Art Association from Saturday, Feb. 8, through March 2.
Elizabeth Richebourg Rea, who has a house in Washington, is showing a series of large black-and-white and color images of intimate and psychological encounters between people. Ms. Rea has exhibited in New York and Florida, and her work is in private collections.
Jeannette Montgomery Barron, a resident of New York with a house in Kent, is a still-life photographer. whose work is in many private collections and corporate collections, including those of Ralph Lauren and Banana Republic. She is now working on a book of still-lifes with an accompanying essay by Edmund White.
Carrie Coco, who has a house in Litchfield, works with photo-montage. Part of the works exhibited in this show includes an installation on the theme of windows. She trained as a photojournalist at Indiana University and has exhibited widely in the state. Her work is in private collections in Maine and California.
