My photography is devoted to landscape as environment often including encounters between people within a spatial concern or depicting the intimate place that recalls a person’s absence. Reflections or distortions through surfaces of shine – water, air, glass – might transfix an image thus informing a surface phenomenon, a unique episode, a visual story. As depicted in my refracted images, the light is captured through the material of the lens revealing repositioned structures. Photography for me is unique in its ability to divide the complex flow of our lives, to tell a single moment – the reluctant pause, the missed signal, the sense of sudden bewilderment or sensation of loss. For me, the visual becomes a conversation frozen in time offering for the viewer a new experience in form.
